Inspired by the success of China’s Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, the JS-SEZ was formalised through the Malaysia-Singapore agreement exchanged on 7 January 2025.

Covering approximately 3,588 square kilometres across Iskandar Malaysia and Pengerang, the JS-SEZ brings together opportunities for investors, business owners, policymakers and first-time visitors to better understand this exciting cross-border initiative.
